R&D Overview
DIC is actively working to establish inorganic and biomaterial design as a new fundamental technology, alongside enhancing existing technologies such as optics and color, organic molecular design, polymer design, and dispersion. The company is promoting the development of next-generation products and technologies for sustainable growth. Key initiatives include developing next-generation inks for packaging, expanding pigment products for displays and cosmetics, and advancing synthetic resins for electronic circuit boards. It offers a wide range of performance material and composite material. Performance material consists of coating resins, UV-curable resin, adhesives and their ingredients, waterborne resins, acrylic resins, polyurethane resins, epoxy resins, phenolic resins, polyester, unsaturated polyester resins, unsaturated polyester resins, fluorochemicals, modifiers, other resins, alkylphenols, textile printing agents, leather colorants , metal carboxylates and sulfur chemicals. Composite material includes polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) compounds, functional compounds, masterbatch for fibers, industrial adhesive tapes, magnetic tapes, hollow fiber membrane modules and plastic pallets, among others.
