Energy Resources of Australia Ltd (ERA), a subsidiary of Rio Tinto, is a uranium mining company. The company explores and produces uranium and sells it to power utilities in Asia, Europe, and North America. The company operates through Ranger mine and Jabiluka lease. ERA’s Jabiluka mineral deposit is under a long-term care and maintenance and, in accordance with the Jabiluka Long-Term Care and Maintenance Agreement, will not be developed by ERA without the approval of the Mirarr Traditional Owners. ETA has partnerships with various companies including Bechtel, Sodexo, Umwelt Environmental & Social Consultants, Ventia, and Veol.
