Mr. Christopher H. Franklin has been the Chairman of the company since January 2018 and the President and Chief Executive Officer since 2015. Prior to this, he was the President and Chief Operating Officer, Regulated Operations from January 2012 to July 2015. Prior to this, Mr. Franklin served as the Regional President of Midwest and Southern Operations and Senior Vice President, Corporate and Public Affairs from January 2010 to January 2012; Regional President of Southern Operations and Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Customer Operations from February 2007 to January 2010. Mr. Franklin also served as Vice President, Public Affairs and Customer Operations from May 2005 to February 2007; Vice President, Corporate and Public Affairs from February 1997 to May 2005 and Manager of Corporate and Public Affairs from December 1992 to February 1997.

Mr. Daniel J. Schuller has been the Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of the company since October 2018. Prior to this, he served as an Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development of the company from July 2015 to October 2018. Mr. Schuller also served as Investment Principal of Infrastructure Investment Group for JP Morgan Asset Management from 2007 to 2015.

Mr. Robert A. Rubin has been the Senior Vice President, the Chief Accounting Officer, and the Controller of the company since 2012. Previously, he served as Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer from May 2005 to January 2012 and Controller and Chief Accounting Officer from March 2004 to May 2005. Previously, Mr. Rubin also served as Controller from March 1999 to March 2004, Assistant Controller from June 1994 to March 1999 and Accounting manager from June 1989 to June 1994. Before joining the company, he served at KPMG LLP.

Mr. Sumit Nair has been the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the company since November 2022. Prior to this he served as a Chief Information Officer for GeoBlue.

Ms. Susan Haindl has been the Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Essential Utilities since 2016. Prior to joining the company, She served various roles which include Vice President of Anexinet; Managing Director of operations at The Pew Charitable Trust and others. Ms. Haindl worked at Exelon as Director of the IT planning and business office, and as Director of merger integration.
