Mr. Christian Kullmann has been the Chief Executive Officer of Evonik since May 2017. Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the company from 2016 to 2017; member of the Executive Board of Evonik from 2014 to 2016; and Executive Vice President of the company from 2013 to 2014. Mr. Kullmann also served as Head of Communications & Board Office of the company from 2007 to 2013. Prior to joining Evonik, he was the Head of Communications & Board Office, RAG Aktiengesellschaft from 2003 to 2007; and Head of Public Relations/Public Affairs at the Corporate Center, Dresdner Bank from 2002 to 2003. Mr. Kullmann also held several positions in the General Secretariat of Dresdner Bank, Frankfurt am Main from 1996 to 200 and worked for Deutsche Vermogensberatung AG between 1994 and 1996.

Ms. Maike Schuh has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since April 2023. Prior to this she served as a Head of Division Performance Materials, Evonik Operations GmbH, from 2022 to 2023, Senior Vice President Finance, Strategy & Human Resources, Division Performance Materials, Evonik Operations GmbH from 2020 to 2023. Previously, she served as a Chief Accountant, Evonik Industries AG from 2015 to 2020 and Vice President Corporate Office, Heraeus Holding from 2013 to 2015, President and Head of Finance, Heraeus Inc from 2009 to 2012. Previously Ms. Schuh served leadership roles at Heraeus Holding GmbH and KPMG AG.

Mr. Thomas Wessel has been the Chief Human Resources Officer and Industrial Relations Director of Evonik since September 2011. Prior to this, he was a member of the Management Board and Chief Human Resources Officer of Evonik Degussa GmbH from 2009 to 2011; Chairman of the management board of RAG BILDUNG GmbH from 2006 to 2009; Head of Human Resources Division of RAG Aktiengesellschaft from 2002 to 2006 and member of the Management Board of RAG Beteiligungs-GmbH. Mr. Wessel also served as the Deputy Head of Human Resources Division and Head of Human Resources Policy/Controlling Department of RAG Aktiengesellschaft from 2001-2002; and Head of Human Resources Policy Issues Department, RAG Aktiengesellschaft between 1997-2001. He served in the human resources department of Bergbau AG Lippe from 1982 to 1988.

Mr. Bernd Tonjes has been the Chairman of the company since May 2018. Prior to this, he served as the Chairman of the Executive Board of RAG Aktiengesellschaft from 2008 to 2018; and a Member of the Executive Board of RAG Aktiengesellschaft from 2004 to 2007. Mr. Tonjes also served as the Chairman of the Executive Board of RAG Deutsche Steinkohle AG from 2001 to 2018; and as Member and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of RAG Deutsche Steinkohle AG from 2000 to 2001.
