Ms. Dame Emma Walmsley has been the Chief Executive Officer and Director since 2017. Prior to this, she was the Chief Executive Officer of GSK Consumer Healthcare. Ms. Walmsley also served in various executive positions in L’Oreal and Non-Executive Director of Diageo plc.

Ms. Julie Brown has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since May 2023. Prior to this, she served as a Chief Operating and Financial Officer at Burberry Group plc and Chief Financial Officer of Smith & Nephew. Previously she served as a Interim Group Chief Financial Officer of AstraZeneca.

Ms. Diana Conrad has been the Chief People Officer of the company since 2019. Prior to that, she served as the Senior Vice President, HR, Pharmaceuticals R&D; Senior Vice President, HR for Consumer Healthcare and Vice President, HR, Pharmaceuticals Canada. Previously, she also held various positions at GE Capital, Gennum Corporation and Zenon Environmental Laboratories.

Mr. Tony Wood has been the Chief Scientific Officer of the company since 2022. Prior to this, he has served as the Senior Vice President, Medicinal Science and Technology at Pfizer. He is currently a member of the UK National Genomics Board and the Board of the Rosalind Franklin Institute; a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences; a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry; and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology. He has also worked with the UK Government’s COVID-19 planning.

Mr. Luke Miels serves as the Chief Commercial Officer of the company. Prior to this, he served as the President of Global Pharmaceuticals in the company. He also served as the Executive Vice President of AstraZeneca’s European business, Executive Vice President of Global Product and Portfolio Strategy, and also for Global Medical Affairs and Corporate Affairs; Regional Vice President Asia Pacific for the Pharmaceuticals Division at Roche. He has also held various leadership positions at Sanofi-Aventis.
