Mr. Paresh Patel has been the Chief Executive Officer, Founder of the group since 2011 and is its Chairman since May 2007. He is also the founder of the group. He also serves as the President of the group’s subsidiary, Homeowners Choice Property & Casualty Insurance Company, Inc since June 2015.; and the President and Chairman of the Board of TypTap Insurance Company. Prior to this, he served as Chairman of Oxbridge Re Holdings Limited from 2014 to 2018; and Chairman of First Home Bancorp, Inc from 2011 to 2015. Prior to this, he served as a Director of NorthStar Banking Corporation from 2006 to 2010. Previously, Mr. Patel serves as Director of Customer Care and Billing at Global Crossing from 1998 to 2000. He also served as Independent software and systems consultant from 1991 to 1998 at various telephone companies.

Ms. Karin Coleman has been the Chief Operating Officer and Director of the company since 2021. She is also President of Homeowners Choice Property & Casualty Insurance Co. Previously, she served as an Executive Vice President of the Company. She joined the company in 2009 as Vice President of Corporate Services overseeing strategic initiatives, regulatory and legislative affairs, human resources, vendor management and community relations. Prior to joining HCI, Ms. Coleman served as Vice President of Strategic Alliances of Take Stock in Children, located in Miami, Florida. Previously, she served in various corporate roles over 13 years at Florida Progress Corporation.

Mr. Mark Harmsworth serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the group since May 2017. He joined the group as the Senior Vice President of Finance in December 2016. Prior to this, he served as the President of JMH Consultancy Group and Chief Strategy Officer for Stewart Information Services. Previously, he served in several companies at various executive leadership positions including as Chief Financial Officer of First American Title Insurance Company, Senior Executive Vice President of First Canadian Title Insurance Company, and Executive Vice President of RE/MAX Ontario-Atlantic Canada Inc.
