Mr. Gian Maria Gros-Pietro has been the Chairman of the bank since 2016. Previously, he served as the Chairman of ASTM S.p.A and lead independent Director of Edison S.p.A. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Luiss University and served as Head of the Department of Economics and Business from 2004 to 2011.

Mr. Carlo Messina has been the Chief Executive Officer, Director, and Managing Director of the bank since April 2013. Previously, Mr. Messina served in the roles of Head of Value Creation in Governance, Chief Financial Officer, General Manager, Head of Chief Financial Officer Governance Area of the bank from 2007 to 2013. He served as Head of the Planning and Banking Research Department , Head of the Management Control Head Office Department and as Head of the Planning and Control Head Office Department in Banca Intesa. Prior to that, Mr. Messina served as Manager in charge of Planning Department at Banco Ambrosiano Veneto. He served as Manager in charge of the Planning and Strategic Control Department at Bonifiche Siele Finanziari.

Mr. Stefano Del Punta has been the Chief Financial officer of the bank since 2013. He is also a Director of Fondo Interbancario di Tutela dei Depositi. Prior to this, Mr. Del Punta served as a Management Board member of the bank from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, he served as the Treasurer in 2007. Previously, Mr. Del Punta served as the Head of Group Finance of Sanpaolo IMI in 2002. Prior to that, he served as head of the International Loans Department, head of the International Corporate and Structured Finance Division of IMI Group and also as head of Planning & Control at Banco di Napoli. Mr. Punta served as General Manager of Turis A.G. and Managing Director of Mabon Securities of IMI Group. At IMI, he also served in the positions of General Manager, Head of Risk Control and Planning.

Ms. Paola Angeletti has been the Chief Operating Officer of the bank since January 2020. Prior to this, she served as the Head of the International Subsidiary Banks Division in 2019, as the Head of the Shareholdings Department in 2018 and as Head of the M&A Department of Intesa Sanpaolo in 2015. Previously, Ms. Angelleti served as the General Secretariat of the Intesa Sanpaolo Supervisory Board from 2007 to 2014.

Mr. Davide Alfonsi has been the Chief Risk Officer of the bank since May, 2016. He has also been the Chairman of AIFIRM (Italian Association of Financial Industries Risk Managers) since 2013. Prior to this, he served as Group Risk Manager and Deputy to the Chief Risk Officer of the group. Previously, he served as Head of the Group Risk Management Department and Head of Risk Control of Sanpaolo IMI. Mr. Alfonsi also served as a member of GEBI (Group of Experts in Banking Issues) for the European Commission from 2010 to 2011. Earlier, he served as of the CEBS’ Consultative Panel (now EBA) from 2006 to 2010.
