Mr. Jonathan W. Painter has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company since 2020. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Executive Officer and Director of the company since 2010. Mr. Painter, also served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the company. He served as the Executive Vice President of the company since 1997. He has also served as the Treasurer of Thermo Electron during 1994 to 1997.

Mr. Jeffrey L. Powell has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Kadant since 2019. Prior to this, he served as the Co-Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of the company from 2018 to 2019 and as Executive Vice President of the company from 2013 to 2018. Mr. Powell also served as the Senior Vice President from 2009 to 2013, and Vice president- New ventures, of the company from 2008 to 2009. Prior to this, Mr. Powell served as the Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer of Castion Corporation from 2003 to 2007.

Mr. Michael J. McKenney has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Kadant since 2018. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company from 2015 to 2018. Earlier, he served as the Chief Accounting Officer and the Vice President finance of the company from 2002 to 2015. He worked as the Corporate Controller of the company from 1997 to 2007. Mr. McKenney also served as the controller of Kadant AES division from 1993 to 1997. Previously, Mr. McKenney held various financial positions at Albany International and Coopers & Lybrand LLP.

Ms. Deborah S. Selwood has been the Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President of Kadant since 2019. Prior to this, she served as the Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President of the company from 2015 to 2019. Previously, she served as the Corporate Controller from 2007 to 2015 and as Assistant Controller of the company from 2004 to 2007. Ms. Selwood also served in various financial positions at Arthur Andersen LLP and Genuity Inc.
