KEPCO Plant Service & Engineering Co Ltd (KEPCO KPS), a subsidiary of Korea Electric Power Corp, provides comprehensive plant solutions, including plant facility diagnosis and performance improvement, operation and management, and engineering procurement and construction. It provides retrofit, and rehabilitation operation maintenance and management projects for renewable energy, industrial facilities, and power generation, transmission and substation facilities. The company has four different businesses including, power plant maintenance engineering which provides maintenance services for hydro, thermal and nuclear power plants. Power transmission and substation facilities services which provide stable power supply and efficiently prevent and swiftly restore overhead transmission line failures.

KEPCO KPS is focusing on developing new technologies in thermal power generation, nuclear power generation, transmission and substation, and new and renewable energy. The company is working on precision diagnosis, performance improvement, life evaluation, facility remodeling, and nuclear power plant decontamination/decommissioning. By establishing the "KPS 2030 Mid- to Long-term Technology Development Road Map," the company aims to advance and digitalize power generation facility maintenance technology and develop green energy O&M technology. The company is also signing long-term technology agreements with overseas manufacturers and expanding its industry-academia-research network to strengthen technological competitiveness. The company operates specialized research and development organizations such as the the Nuclear Power Maintenance Technology Center, Comprehensive Technology Institute, and the Power Generation Maintenance Technology Center. These units are responsible for developing new technologies for domestic and international thermal power, nuclear power/pumped storage, transmission and substation, and new and renewable energy power facilities. In FY2024, the R&D expenses of the company stood at KRW4,779.12 which increased 28.3% YoY.
