It operates tank barge and transports bulk liquid products across Mississippi River System, the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, coastwise along all three US coasts. Kirby transports tank petrochemicals, black oil, refined petroleum products and agricultural chemicals by tank barge. Kirby also provides after-market service and parts for engines, reduction gears, transmissions, and related equipment that find applications in oilfield services, marine, power generation, on-highway, and other industrial markets. The company serves its customers through 61 branch locations across 16 states. It also sells engines, transmissions, power generation systems, and rents equipment including generators, industrial compressors, high-capacity lift trucks, and refrigeration trailers for use in a variety of commercial and industrial applications, including for oilfield service and railroad customers.

Offers transportation services by tank barge for inland and coastal markets.
