Dr. Toni Green-Cheatwood, DO, MBA, FACOS Chief Clinical Officer, Mercy Health – Toledo As Chief Clinical Officer for Mercy Health – Toledo, Dr. Toni Green-Cheatwood leads clinical strategy, physician alignment, quality and safety initiatives, and care transformation across the region. In this role, she collaborates closely with clinical and operational leaders to support care teams, drive clinical excellence, and ensure the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care rooted in Mercy Health’s mission. Her leadership is instrumental in advancing system-wide priorities around access, equity, and outcomes. Dr. Green-Cheatwood brings fifteen years of experience as both a practicing physician and health system executive. Most recently, she served as Chief Medical Officer at Lutheran Medical Center and Associate Regional Chief Medical Officer for Intermountain Health’s Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming region. A fellowship-trained breast surgeon, she spent nearly ten years in clinical practice and program leadership, with a focus on multidisciplinary oncology care, physician engagement, and community-based health access. Dr. Green-Cheatwood earned her Doctor of Osteopathy from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed general surgery residency at University of Medicine.
