Metsa Board Corp: Executives

Mr. Ilkka Hamala has been the Chairman of the company since 2018. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Metsa Fibre Oy from 2008 to 2018; and held various positions at Oy Metsa-Botnia Ab from 1988 to 2008. Currently, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Metsa Group since 2018 and the Chief Executive Officer of Metsaliitto Cooperative since 2018. He also serves as the Chairman of Metsa Fibre Oy, Metsa Spring Oy and Metsa Tissue Oyj since 2018.

Mr. Mika Joukio has been the Chief Executive Officer of the company since 2014. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Metsa Tissue Corporation from 2012 to 2014. He served as the Head of Consumer Packaging of Metsa Board Corporation from 2006 to 2012. He served as the Vice President and Mill Manager of Metsa Board Kyro and Metsa Board Tako and the Senior Vice President of Corporate Logistics and Supply Chain of Metsa Board Corporation from 2004 to 2005. Mr. Joukio served as the Vice President and Mill Manager of Metsa Board Aanekoski from 2001 to 2004. Mr. Joukio serves as a Director of Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company; and the Chairman of Husum Pulp AB since 2021.

Mr. Henri Sederholm has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2021. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Vice President of Group Finance at Metsa Group from 2016 to 2021. Previously, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Metsa Wood from 2015 to 2016; and Vice President of Finance & Control of Metsa Board Corp from 2009 to 2015. Earlier, he worked at Metsa Group Treasury from 2003 to 2009.
