MFA Financial Inc: Executives

Mr. Craig L Knutson has been the Chief Executive Officer, Director and President of the company since August 2017. Prior to this, he held various roles at the company including the Chief Operating Officer from 2014 to 2017 and Executive Vice President from 2008 to 2013. Mr. Knutson served as the Senior Executive Vice President at CBA Commercial, LLC, from 2004 to 2007 and from 2001 to 2004, he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of ARIASYS Inc.

Mr. Michael C. Roper has been the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of the company since September 2023. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President of the company from 2021 to 2023. Previously Mr. Roper served as the Controller of the company. Prior to this, he served as the Assistant Controller at Apollo Residential Mortgage, Inc. Mr. Roper also served at Ernst & Young LLP.

Mr. Bryan Doran has been the Chief Accounting Officer of the company since December 2023. Prior to this, he served as an Audit Partner in the Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction Practice at E&Y.

Mr. Bryan Wulfsohn has been the President and Chief Investment Officer of the company since January 2019. Previously, he served as the Senior Vice President of the company. He joined MFA in 2010. Mr. Wulfsohn served as a Senior Financial Analyst at Inland Western Real Estate Trust, Inc from 2008 to 2010. He served as an Associate in the capital markets group at CBA Commercial LLC from 2005 to 2007.

Ms. Lori R. Samuels has been the Chief Loan Operations Officer and Senior Vice President of the company since 2024. Prior to this, she held various asset management and loan operations positions.
