Mr. Steve Sanghi has been the Chairman of the company since 2021. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of the company from 1991 to 2021, a Director of Myomo, Inc. from 2016 to 2019. He also served as the President of Microchip from 1990 to 2016. Previously, he also served as a Director of Mellanox Technologies Ltd. from 2018 to 2020 and a Director of Impinj, Inc. Mr. Sanghi served as the Vice President of Operations at Waferscale Integration, Inc. from 1988 to 1990. He also held various positions in management and engineering at Intel Corporation from 1978 to 1988.

Mr. Ganesh Moorthy has been the Chief Executive Officer, President, and a Director of the company since 2021. Prior to this role, he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Microchip since February 2016. Previously, he served as the Executive Vice President of the company from 2006 to 2012. He also served as the Chief Operating Officer since June 2009 and as Executive Vice President from 2006 to 2009. Mr. Moorthy served as Vice President of the Advanced Microcontroller and Automotive Division (AMAD) from November 2001 to October 2006. Currently, he serves as the Director of Rogers Corporation since 2013.

Mr. Rich Simoncic has been the Chief Operating Officer of the company since April 2024. Prior to this he served as Exective Vice President and Senior Vice President Analog of the company.
