The company carries out exploration, exploitation, and marketing of various grades of manganese ore and electrolytic manganese dioxide and high-carbon ferro-manganese alloys. MOIL operates underground and opencast mines across Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The company runs the Beldongri, Gumgaon, Kandri, and Munsar mines located within the Nagpur district, as well as the Chikla and Dongri-Buzurg mines in the Bhandara district, in Maharashtra. The company's operations in Madhya Pradesh are located within the Balaghat district and include the Balaghat, Tirodi, Sitapatore, and Ukwa mines. It serves domestic steel manufacturers, ferroalloy producers, and processors, alongside pharmaceutical, battery, and chemical companies. MOIL is headquartered in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.
