Mr. Joe Mansueto has been the Executive Chairman of Morningstar since 2017. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company since its inception in 1984, and as the Chief Executive Officer between 1984 and 1996 and again from 2000 to 2016. Prior to this, he served as a Director of Whole Foods Market, Inc. Before founding Morningstar, he worked as a Securities Analyst at Harris Associates.

Mr. Kunal Kapoor has been the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Morningstar since 2017. Prior to this, he served as the President of product development and innovation and sales and marketing between 2015 and 2017. Previously, he served in various leadership roles in the company, including Head of Global Products and Client Solutions; President of Data Division; President of Equity and Market Data and Software; and President of Individual Software. He joined Morningstar in 1997 as a Data Analyst.

Mr. Jason Dubinsky has been the Chief Financial Officer of Morningstar since 2017. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Planning and Central Operations of Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. Earlier, he served as the Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Walgreens. Prior to this, he served as the Vice President of Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Michael Holt has been the Chief Strategy Officer and the Head of Investment Research of the company. Prior to this he worked as Global Head of Equity Research. He previously served as Director of North American equity research, Associate Director for the technology equity research team, and Senior analyst. He was an Associate for Municipal Mortgage & Equity and spent four years in the software industry before joining Morningstar in 2008.

Mr. James Rhodes is the Chief Technology Officer and the President of Morningstar Data, Research, and Enterprise Solutions of the company. Prior to this, he served as Chief Data Officer of the company. Earlier, he served at Rocaton Investment Advisors as the Chief Technology Officer. Prior to this, he served at IBM Research for 13 years.
