Mr. Matti Kahkonen has been the Chairman of Neste since 2018. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Advisor of Metso Corporation from 2017 to 2019. Mr. Kahkonen also served as President and Chief Executive Officer for Metso Corporation from 2011 to 2017; as Executive Vice President and Deputy to the Chief Executive Officer for Metso Corporation from 2010 to 2011; as President of Mining and Construction Technology from 2008 to 2011; President of Metso Minerals from 2006 to 2008; President of Metso Automation from 2001 to 2006 and President of Metso Automation, Field Systems Division from 1999 to 2001. He also held various managerial and development positions in Neles-Jamesbury and Rauma-Repola. He also serves as Chair of the super advisory board of the Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company and Chair of Neste’s Personnel and Remuneration Committee.

Mr. Matti Lehmus has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of the company since May 2022. Prior to this, he served as a Executive Vice President, Renewables Platform from 2019 to 2022. Mr. Lehmus also served as the Executive Vice President of the Oil Products and Renewables business area from 2011–2014, Executive Vice President of the Oil Products business area 2009–2010, Vice President of the Base Oils business in the Specialty Products Division 2007–2009, Vice President of Oil Refining Business Development in 2007 and Gasoline Exports and Trading Manager 2004–2007 in the Oil Refining Division. Currently, he is also a Member of the National Emergency Supply Council.

Mr. Martti Ala-Harkonen has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Finance, Strategy and IT of the company sine 2022. Prior to this, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer at Caverion Corporation from 2016–2022. Mr. Ala-Harkonen also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Cramo Plc from 2006–2016, Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration at WM-data Ltd from 2004–2006, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President Business Development at Novo Group Plc from 1998–2004 and as Finance Manager and Corporate Finance Manager at Postipankki Plc from 1995–1998.
