Pacific Gas and Electric Co (PGEC) generates electricity and provides electric transmission and distribution services. It owns and operates power generation assets; and sources energy from qualifying facilities and other third-party purchase agreements. Provides natural gas transportation services to core customers including small commercial and residential customers, and to non-core customers: industrial, large commercial, and natural gas-fired electric generation facilities. PGEC classifies its business operations into two segments: Electric and Natural gas. PGEC has 18,000 circuit miles of interconnected transmission lines operating at voltages ranging from 60 kV to 500kV and operates 33 electric transmission substations with capacity of approximately 67,000 MVA. PGEC also owns 108,000 circuit miles of distribution lines, 59 transmission and distribution substations and 603 distribution stations with capacity of 33,000 MWA. The company operates through two product categories: Electric and Natural Gas. In FY2024, the company incurred a capital expenditure of US$10,369 million which was 42.5% of the company’s total revenue and grew 6.7% YoY.
