Downstream assets include refineries, terminals petrochemical facilities, gas processing facilities and power generation facilities. The segment also provides technical and engineering solutions to PETRONAS Group. Operates three refineries in Malaysia and one in Durban, South Africa. Major Refinery – Malaysian Refining Company Sdn Bhd (MRCSB) located in Melaka. Major refined petroleum products include motor gasoline, diesel, lubricants, jet fuel, kerosene, naphtha and residual fuel oil. Integrated petrochemical complexes in Kertih, Terengganu and Gebeng, Pahang and manufacturing complexes in Gurun, Kedah; Bintulu, Sarawak; and Labuan. Petrochemical products include olefins, polymers, fertilizers, methanol and other chemicals and derivatives. Markets petroleum products in Malaysia, South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa. In FY2024, the segment incurred a capital expenditure of MYR4,680 million, which declined 18.7% YoY.

In FY2024, the segment incurred a capital expenditure of MYR11,750 million, which declined 1% YoY.
