Mr. Frank C McDowell has been the Chairman of the company. He has been a Director of the company since 2008. Previously, Mr. McDowell served as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director at BRE Properties from 1995 to 2004. Prior to this, he served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Cardinal Realty from 1992 to 1995; Senior Executive and Head of Real Estate at First Interstate Bank of Texas and Allied Bancshares. Mr. McDowell served as a Director at Eagle Hospitality Trust from 2006 to 2008.

Mr. Dale H Taysom serves as the Vice Chairman of the company. He has been a Director at Piedmont since 2015. Previously, Mr. Taysom served as the Global Chief Operating Officer at Prudential Real Estate Investors (PREI). He spent 36 years at PREI. Prior to that, Mr. Taysom served in various positions including as the Head of US Transactions and Global Head of Transactions.

Mr. C Brent Smith has been the Chief Executive Officer, President, and Director of the company since 2019. He served as the Chief Investment Officer and Executive Vice President of Northeast Region at Piedmont, until 2019. Previously, Mr. Smith served as the Executive Director at Morgan Stanley in the Real Estate Investment Banking division.

Mr. Robert E Bowers has been the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Vice President of the company since 2007. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President at Wells Real Estate Funds from 2004 to 2007, and as a Senior Vice President at Wells Capital. Mr. Bowers also served as the Chief Financial Officer and a Director at NetBank from 1997 to 2002. Mr. Bowers also served as the Chief Financial Officer and a Director at Stockholder Systems from 1984 to 1996.

Mr. George M Wells is the Chief Operating Officer of the company. He also serves as the Executive Vice President of Real Estate Operations of the company since 2018. Prior to this, Mr. Wells served as the Executive Vice President of Southeast Region of the company for four years.
