Planet Labs PBC: Executives

Mr. William Marshall is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company. Prior to this, he was a Scientist at NASA/USRA and also served as a systems engineer on lunar orbiter mission. He also served as the Co-Principal Investigator at PhoneSat.

Mr. Robert Schingler has been the Chief Strategy Officer and Director of the company since 2015. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Planet. Prior to this, he also served as the Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chief Technologist at NASA.

Ms. Ashley Fieglein Johnson has been the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of the company since 2021. Previously, she served as the Chief Financial Officer of Wealthfront Inc. from 2015 to 2020. She also served as the Chief Operating Officer of the company from 2016 to 2020. Prior to this, she held various positions at ServiceSource International Inc., including as Chief Financial Officer from 2013 to 2014, interim Chief Executive Officer from October 2014 to December 2014, and Chief Customer Officer from January 2015 to May 2015.

Ms. Donna Prlich has been the Chief Marketing Officer of the company since 2022. Previously, she served as the Chief Product Officer leading Product Marketing and Management at Pentaho. She also served as the Chief Business Officer of Hearsay Systems.

Mr. Tramayne Whitney has been the Chief People Officer of the company since 2023. Previously, he served as the Interim Chief People Officer and Vice President of HR, Corporate Functions at Splunk. Prior to this, he served as the Director of Global People Consultants at Google.
