The company offers products to oil and natural gas exploration and production, and oilfield service companies. Smart Sand supplies sand under long-term take-or-pay contracts and spot market, in case of excess production and favorable markets. The company owned and operated three frac sand mine facilities in Oakdale, Wisconsin; Utica, Illinois; and Blair, Wisconsin. The company operates Oakdale Mine, it also operates a raw frac sand mine and related processing facility near Oakdale, Wisconsin in 1,256 contiguous acres with on-site processing and rail loading facilities. The mine has access to two Class I rail lines that enable the company to deliver products cost-effectively to its customers. The company has an annual processing of 5.5 million tons of raw frac sand.
