Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica SA (SNN) is a state-owned power-generating company. It generates nuclear power and heat using nuclear fission and also produces nuclear fuel for internal purposes. SNN is the only company producing electricity based on nuclear technology in Romania. The company also produces nuclear fuel bundles, CANDU type that are used in the operation of its nuclear reactors. It operates two plants namely, Cernavoda nuclear power plant and nuclear fuel plant in Pitesti. SNNs Cernavoda nuclear power plant offers hot water to the Cernavoda community for district heating. The company also focuses on the investment-development activities. . SNN is headquartered in Bucharest, Romania.
