TenneT Holding BV (TenneT) is a grid operator electricity (Transmission System Operator-TSO) firm. The company designs, builds, maintains and operate high-voltage electricity grid in the Netherlands and large parts of Germany and facilitates the European energy market through electricity transmission and system services. It constructs and maintains high voltage grid to transmit electricity from the producers to the regional grids, which distribute electricity to the end consumers. TenneT also offers system services to maintain the balance between the supply and demand of electricity. The company offers its services through its subsidiaries in the Netherlands and Germany.
