Hershey’s R&D arm focuses on developing new products, improving the quality of existing products, modernizing production processes, and developing and implementing new technologies to enhance the quality and value of both current and proposed product lines. It has R&D activities in the US, Brazil, Mexico, and India and Malaysia. In FY2022, the company incurred an expenditure of US$46.9 million on R&D, which as a percentage of revenue stood at 0.4%.
