The Macerich Co: Executives

Mr. Jackson Hsieh has been the Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of the company since 2024. Prior to this, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Spirit Realty Capital. Mr. Hsieh served as Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley. He also served as the Vice Chairman and Sole or Co-Global Head of UBS’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group.

Mr. Daniel E. Swanstrom II has been the Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President and Treasurer of the company since 2024. Prior to this, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CorePoint Lodging Inc. from 2018 to 2022. Previously, Mr. Swanstrom served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Monogram Residential Trust, Inc. from 2015 to 2017. He also served as the Executive Director of the Real Estate Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley from 2013 to 2015.

Ms. Ann C. Menard has been the Chief Legal and Administrative Officer, Senior Executive Vice President and Secretary of the company since 2018. Prior to this, she served as the U.S. General Counsel and Managing Director at Tishman Speyer from 2005 to 2017. She was a Partner in the real estate and corporate finance departments at O’Melveny & Myers, LLP in their Los Angeles and Newport Beach offices.

Mr. Steven Hash has been the Chairman of the company since 2015. Prior to this, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Renaissance Macro Research, LLC. Previously, Mr. Hash served as the Head of Real Estate Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers from 2006 to 2012, Head of Real Estate Investment Banking from 2006 to 2012, Chief Operating Officer of Global Investment Banking from 2008 to 2011, Director of Global Equity Research from 2003 to 2006, and Director of U.S. Equity Research from 1999 to 2003.
