Mr. Richard Haythornthwaite has been the Chairman of the group since 2024. He also serves as the Chairman of Ocado Group plc and AA Limited, and Senior Advisory Partner of Moelis & Co. Previously, he served as the Chairman at Mastercard Inc, Arc International Holdings, Centrica plc and Network Rail Limited, and Partner at Star Capital. He also served as a Director at Globant S.A, Lafarge S.A., Cookson plc, Land Securities plc, and ICI plc.

Mr. Paul Thwaite has been the Chief Executive Officer and Director of the group since July 2023. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of the group’s Commercial and Institutional franchise between July 2022 and July 2023. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Commercial Banking division. He has over 30 years of financial service experience.

Ms. Katie Murray has been a Director and Chief Financial Officer of the group since January 2019. She joined the group as the Director of Finance in 2015 and was appointed as Deputy Chief Financial Officer in March 2017. Previously, Ms. Murray held various roles at Old Mutual Emerging Markets from 2002 to 2015. Earlier, she worked at KPMG for 13 years. She holds about 30 years of experience in the finance and accounting field.

Mr. Scott Marcar has been the Chief Information Officer of the group since September 2022. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Information Officer at Deutsche and as the Head of Technology for Financial Crime, Chief Information Officer of the UK, and Group Chief Technology Officer. Previously, he served as the Chief Information Officer at RBS Markets.

Ms. Jen Tippin has been the Group Chief Operating Officer of the group since 2024. Prior to this, she served as the Chief People and Transformation Officer of the group. She also serves as a Director of Morgan Sindall Plc. Previously, she served at Lloyds Banking Group. She held various managerial roles including Group Organization Design and Cost Management Director and Group Director of People and Productivity.
