Vista Gold Corp (Vista) is a gold mining company. It evaluates, explores, develops, and acquires gold properties. The company involves in the development of its 100% owned Mt Todd gold project in Northern Territory, Australia. Vista’s Mt Todd gold project is an open pit mine situated in Australia’s Northern Territory region, 56 kilometers north of Katherine and 250 kilometers southeast of Darwin. The Batman deposit strikes north-northeast and dips steeply to the east. Mt. Todd is a brownfield development project, which received approvals for the Environmental Impact Statement. It has infrastructure including paved access, a natural gas pipeline, medium-tension power lines, freshwater reservoir, and tailings storage and impoundment facilities. The company has conducted an exploration program that includes prospecting, exploration drilling, geologic mapping, rock and soil sampling, and geophysical surveys. The airborne geophysical survey identified several magnetic targets within the company’s property surrounding the Batman pit. It has also completed metallurgical testing, including fine grinding evaluations, to demonstrate improvements in gold recovery.
