Mr. Tom Johnstone has been the Chairman of the company since 2020. Prior to this, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of AB SKF from 2003 to 2014. Currently, he also serves as the Chairman of British Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Combient AB, Husqvarna AB, Collegial AB; and Director of Investor AB, Northvolt AB and Volvo Cars.

Mr. Mika Vehvilainen has been the Deputy Chairman of the company since 2023. Prior to this he served at Cargotec Oyj as the President and Chief Executive Officer from 2013- 2023. Previously he served at Finnair Oyj as a President and Chief Executive Officer from 2009–2013, Chief Operating Officer at Nokia Siemens Networks from 2007–2009 and various managerial positions at Nokia Corporation.

Mr. Hakan Agnevall has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of the company since 2021. Prior to this, he served as the President at Volvo Bus Corporation from 2013 to 2020. Mr. Agnevall also served as the Vice President at Bombardier Transportation from 2010 to 2013; Senior Vice President at ABB Robotics from 2007 to 2009; and Vice President at ABB High Voltage Cables from 2003 to 2006.

Mr. Arjen Berends has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2018. Prior to this, he served as the Vice President, Finance and Business Control, Marine Solutions from 2012-2018. Previously, he served as the Vice President of Finance and Business Control, and Finance Director of Wartsila Industrial Operations between 2007 and 2012; Finance Director of Propulsor Business, Finance Director of Wartsila Propulsion Netherlands BV from 2002 to 2007; Controller of Marine/Manufacturing, and Finance Director of Wartsila Norway AS from 1998 to 2002; and held various roles at Wartsila Netherlands BV from 1988 to 1998.

Mr. Tamara de Gruyter has been the Executive Vice President and President of Wartsila Energy Storage of the company since 2025. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Transformation Officer at the company from 2019 to 2020. Previously, he served as the Vice President, Marine Business Europe & Africa in 2019; Vice President, Services North Europe from 2017 to 2018; and Vice President, Propulsion System Services from 2015 to 2018 at Wartsila. Mr. Gruyter also served as the Managing Director at Wartsila Qiyao Diesel Company from 2014 to 2016; Wartsila Pumps Pte Ltd from 2013 to 2014; and at Wartsila CME Zhenjiang Propeller Co. Ltd. from 2009 to 2013.
