W&T Offshore Inc (W&T Offshore) is an independent oil and natural gas company. The company carries out acquisition, exploitation, development and exploration of oil and natural gas assets both onshore and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and Alabama State Waters. It acquires contracts to explore and develop new prospects and operate existing oil and natural gas properties in the deepwater, conventional shelf and the deep shelf. W&T Offshore also owns working interest in producing fields in federal and state waters and has interests in offshore leasehold acreage spanning across the outer continental shelf off the coasts of Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama.
