Mr. Robert C. Frenzel has been the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the company since December 2021. Prior to this, he was the company's President and Chief Operating Officer, from 2020 to 2021; and Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer, from 2016 to 2020. He also served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2012-2016 at Luminant, and Senior Vice President for Corporate Development of Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions at EFH from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Frenzel worked as the Vice President for Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs from 2002 to 2009. Currently, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer of NSP-Minnesota, NSP-Wisconsin, PSCo, and SPS since August 2021.

Mr. Brian J. Van Abel has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Xcel Energy since March 2020. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development of Xcel Energy Services Inc, and Vice President and Treasurer of Xcel Energy. Previously, Mr. Van Abel served as the management consultant in the retail banking sector for four years.

Mr. Timothy O’Connor has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Xcel Energy since August 2021. Prior to this, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Generation Officer of the company from 2020 to 2021; and Senior Vice President, Chief Nuclear Officer of Xcel Energy Services Inc from 2013 to 2020.

Mr. Tim Peterson is the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of the company. Prior to this, he served as the President of CUNA Mutual AdvantEdge Digital, Senior Vice President, and Chief Information Officer for CUNA Mutual Group.

Mr. Rob Clark has been the Chief Communications Officer and Senior Vice President of the company since 2024. Prior to this he served as managing director for FGS Global. Previously he served as head of global communications for ExxonMobil.
