Michel M. Lies
Chairman Executive BoardMr. Michel M. Lies has been the Chairman of the group since April 2018. He also serves as the Chairman of the group’s subsidiary Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Re from 2012 to 2016. He also served as the Chairman of Global Partnerships of Swiss Re from 2011 to 2012.

Chief Executive Officer Senior ManagementMr. Mario Greco has been the Chief Executive Officer of Zurich Insurance since March 2016. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Generali from 2012 to 2016. During 2007 - 2012, he worked for Zurich as the Chief Executive Officer of Global Life and Chief Executive Officer of General Insurance. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of EurizonVita at Sanpaolo IMI Group and was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Eurizon Financial Group in October 2005. Mr. Greco joined Allianz AG’s executive board at the end of 2004. He was appointed as the Managing Director in 1998 and Chief Executive Officer of the group in 2000.
Claudia Cordioli
Chief Financial Officer Senior ManagementMs. Claudia Cordioli has been the Chief Financial Officer of the group since March 2024. Prior to this, she served as Swiss Re’s Finance Director from 2022 to 2024. From 2020 to 2022, Ms. Cordioli served as Chief Financial Officer of Swiss Re’s Reinsurance Business and prior to this, she served in multiple senior positions throughout the group, including as the Head of Western and Southern Europe. Earlier, she worked in banking and consulting firms as a senior consultant.
Terry Powell
Chief Technology Officer Senior ManagementMr. Terry Powell has been the Chief Technology Officer of the company since October 2025. Previously, he worked at ANZ Bank and Domino’s Pizza.
Peter Giger
Chief Risk Officer Senior ManagementMr. Peter Giger has been the Chief Risk Officer of the group since October 2019. Prior to this, he served as Head of FINMA’s insurance division at Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority from 2014 to 2018.
