Adecoagro SA (Adecoagro) is an agro-industrial company that manufactures and distributes food and generates renewable energy. It undertakes the planting, processing, harvesting, and selling of grains, oilseeds, fibers, sugarcane, and rice. Adecoagro also produces and distributes ethanol, sugar, electricity, vegetable oils, and milk, and carries out the identification and acquisition of farmland businesses. The company offers its agricultural products to millers, traders, industrial companies, and dairy producers. It also supplies electricity to local electricity commercialization companies in the spot market, to distributors, and through government auctions in long-term contracts. The company’s oilseeds, grains, and dairy operations are in Argentina and Uruguay while sugar and ethanol are produced in Brazil. Adecoagro is headquartered in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.
