The company invests in Agency residential mortgage-backed securities by using borrowed funds. Its portfolio of investments comprises residential mortgage pass-through securities and collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs). Its principal and interest payments are primarily fulfilled by government-sponsored entities and US Government agency, such as the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation and the Government National Mortgage Association.
