Chimera Investment Corp (Chimera) is a diversified real estate investment trust (REIT). It carries out the business of investment in mortgage assets such as agency residential mortgage-backed securities (Agency RMBS), and agency commercial mortgage-backed securities (Agency CMBS). It also offers non-Agency RMBS, real estate-related securities, and residential mortgage loans (RMBS). Chimera’s residential mortgage-backed securities invest in mortgage pass-through certificates issued by Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mae and residential mortgage loans invests in residential mortgage loans through secondary market purchases from agencies, banks and non-bank financial institutions. Additionally, it also offers securitization, secured financing agreements, warehouse facilities and repurchase agreements services, among others. Chimera is headquartered in New York, the US.
