The CRSC’s R&D arm focuses on promoting the sustainable development of its businesses through technological innovations. The company aims at the research and development of rail transportation control system technology and its derivative applications. During the Reporting Period, the Company completed the construction of a railway electromagnetic environment effect research and testing platform, overcame key technical challenges in high-power pantograph–overhead line offline discharge technology, and built the first domestic 1:1 large-scale test platform. It also conducted research on electromagnetic interference characteristics for high-speed rail operating at 400 km/h and completed dynamic levitation tests for high-speed maglev/low-vacuum environments for the first time internationally. CRSC carried out SIL4-level safety cloud platform research and formed prototypes of its minimum system architecture, while breakthroughs were made in massive IoT access technology and the development of a visual large model for the railway sector with strong multi-scenario detection capabilities. The Company also achieved significant progress in overseas R&D support, contributing to key projects such as the Jakarta–Bandung High-Speed Railway, Padma Bridge Railway and Mexico City metro upgrades. As of December 2024, the company had over 4,600 authorized patents, with continued recognition under national innovation programs. In FY2024, the company invested CNY1,912.3 million on R&D activities, which as a percentage of revenue stood at 6%.
