FortisBC Inc (FortisBC), a subsidiary of Fortis Inc, is an integrated and regulated electric utility that generates, transmits and supplies electricity. It owns and operates hydroelectric power plants and high-voltage transmission lines in British Columbia. Along with the BC Hydro system, the company has terminal transmission substations and additional substations with generator step-up transformers associated with its generating plants. FortisBC also promotes energy conservation and provides electricity services such as installation, upgradation, and repair work. It serves residential, commercial, wholesale and industrial consumers in the southern interior of the province of British Columbia. FortisBC is headquartered in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.
