Gazprom is an energy company engaged in geological exploration, production, transportation, storage, processing, and sales of gas, gas condensate, and oil. The company is a leading producer of natural gas and is involved in the generation and marketing of heat and electric power. It also produces and exports liquefied natural gas. The company also participates in the generation and marketing of heat and electricity. It owns the gas trunk lines integrated into the Unified Gas Supply System (UGSS) of Russia. Gazprom operates its business activities in Russia, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Brazil and other countries. It sells oil and gas in Russia and exports to countries within and outside the former Soviet Union. Gazprom is headquartered in Moscow, Russia.
