Overview

Owns, develops, constructs, manages and operates electric generation facilities in wholesale energy markets. Develops and constructs battery storage projects. Also carries out energy-related commodity marketing and trading, including entering into financial and physical contracts to hedge the production from its generation assets. These contracts primarily include power and gas commodities and their related products; and it also participates in natural gas, natural gas liquids and oil production primarily through non-operating ownership interests, and in pipeline infrastructure development, construction, management and operations; and hedges the expected output from its gas infrastructure production assets to protect from price movements. It provides full energy and capacity requirement services primarily to distribution utilities and offers power and gas and related risk management services to wholesale customers. In FY2023, the segment incurred a capital expenditure of US$15,652 million, which grew 62.3% YoY.
