NiSource Inc (NiSource) is an energy utility that distributes natural gas and generates, transmits, and distributes electricity. The company provides natural gas distribution and electric services through its subsidiaries, including NiSource Gas Distribution Group and NIPSCO Holdings I. NiSource's major services include the distribution of natural gas and electricity to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The company produces electricity from coal, gas and hydro sources. The company also owns and operates Sugar Creek, coal-fired electric generating stations, combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plants, and hydroelectric generating plants. NiSource also carries out wholesale and transmission transactions. The company conducts its business operations through NIPSCO and NiSource Gas Distribution Group. NiSource is headquartered in Merrillville, Indiana, the US.
