Mr. Gurdeep Singh has been the Chairman and Managing Director of NTPC since 2016. He has more than 30 years of experience in the power sector. Prior to joining NTPC, he served as the MD of Gujarat State Electricity Company; and worked at CxO/Senior positions in Indian companies such as GSECL, IDFC and CESC, and in multi-national companies such as PowerGen, CLP and AES. Mr. Singh joined as an Engineer Trainee in 1987 and held various positions.

Mr. Jaikumar Srinivasan has been the Director of Finance of the company since 2022. Previously, he served as the Director (Finance) of NLC India Limited. Prior to this, he also served as the Director (Finance) of Maharashtra State Electricity and Distribution Company Limited.

Mr. Shivam Srivastava has been the Director of Fuel at the company since 2023. Previously, he served as the Chief General Manager and Business Unit Head of Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining Project of NTPC Limited. Earlier, he also held the positions of Head of Fuel Management functions, Head of Operation & Maintenance functions in power plants.

Mr. Dillip Kumar Patel has been the Director of Human Resources since 2020. Previously, he has been Head of HR at various projects of NTPC such as NSPCL-Bhilai, Sipat, and Tanda. Mr. Patel also served as the Regional Head of HR of Easter Region-II.

Mr. Ramesh Babu V. has been the Director of operations of the company since 2020. Previously, he held various positions in management of large size plants in the area of power plant operation & maintenance, Renovation & modernization of old units and in area of efficiency and systems improvement of thermal plants.
