Business Description
NuStar Energy LP (NuStar Energy) is master limited midstream partnership. It conducts operations through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, namely, NuStar Logistics, L.P. and NuStar Pipeline Operating Partnership L.P. It carries out the transportation, terminalling, storage and marketing of petroleum products, and anhydrous ammonia. The company operates through three reportable business segments: Pipeline, Storage, and Fuel marketing. NuStar Energy invests to expand projects to accommodate production growth in the Permian Basin, including Permian Crude System and Corpus Christi Crude System, projects to handle biofuels demand on the West Coast, and projects to increase flexibility at its St. James terminal. In FY2022, the company’s capital expenditure stood at US$140.6 million, which decreased 22.4% YoY. The company had over 29 subsidiaries by the end of FY2022. It has operations in the US, Canada, the UK, the Netherlands, Mexico, and Caribbean.

Overview
Include the transportation of refined petroleum products, crude oil and anhydrous ammonia. It operates an extensive pipeline network across the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, South Dakota, Indiana and Minnesota. Pipeline systems include Central West System, East Pipeline, North Pipeline, and the Ammonia Pipeline. Central West System supports shale oil production and the refineries, including Valero Energy’s McKee, Three Rivers and Ardmore refineries. The system transport gasoline, distillates including diesel and jet fuel, natural gas liquids and other products produced at the refineries. East Pipeline transports refined products and natural gas liquids north in pipelines to NuStar Energy and third party terminals along the system and to receiving pipeline connections in Kansas. North Pipeline originates at Andeavor’s Mandan, North Dakota refinery and runs from west to east to its termination in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. Ammonia Pipeline originates in the Louisiana delta area, where it connects to three third-party marine terminals and three anhydrous ammonia plants on the Mississippi River.
