SFC focuses on the development of fuel cell systems with higher performance and longer operating hours while reducing product costs. The company is also working on the digital connection of its solutions and the continuous renewal of its product portfolio. The R&D unit of SFC Energy AG is responsible for the development of fuel cell technology and power supply systems and their implementation in Group products. This unit is comprised of an average of 76 employees, with 17.3% of the Group’s workforce engaged in the development of fuel cell technology and power supply systems. In FY2024, the company spent EUR11.027 million on R&D, which as a percentage of revenue stood at 12.7%, and grew 27.7% YoY.
