Ms. Catherine A. Kehr has been the Chairman of the company, since 2011. Prior to this, she served as the Director of California Resources Corporation from February 2015 to May 2017. Previously, she served as an investment analyst and portfolio manager with responsibility for global energy high-yield debt. Earlier, she was responsible for investment analysis and a portfolio manager of global energy equities.

Mr. William J Way is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Southwestern since 2016. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the company from 2014 to 2016 and as its Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, from 2011 to 2014. Previously, he served as the Senior Vice President of Americas at BG Group plc with responsibility for exploration and production (E&P), Midstream and LNG operations in the US, Trinidad and Tobago, Chile, Bolivia, Canada and Argentina. He started his career at Conoco and earlier held various senior leadership positions in E&P, LNG, Midstream and Shipping operations in the US, United Arab Emirates, Scotland, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Mr. Carl F. Giesler is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2021. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of SandRidge Energy, Inc and Jones Energy, Inc. Mr. Giesler Jr. served as the Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Miller Energy Resources, Inc from 2014 to 2018.

Mr. Clayton A Carrell is the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of the company since 2017. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of EP Energy and held various roles at Burlington Resources, Peoples Energy Production, and ARCO Oil and Gas Company. He holds 30 years of experience in energy industry. Earlier, he served as the Director of the Texas A&M Petroleum Engineering Department. Mr. Carrell also serves as a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and on the board of Trustees for the Center for Hearing and Speech in Houston.
