Ms. Mellody Hobson has been the chairman of the company since March 2021. Prior to this, she served as Vice Chairperson of the company from June 2018 to February 2021 and as its Director from 2005 to May 2018. She served as President of Ariel Investments from 2000 to 2019. Ms. Hobson also served as Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing at Ariel Capital Management Inc from 1994 to 2000, and as its Vice President of Marketing from 1991 to 1994. Previously, she served as Director of The Estee Lauder Companies Inc and DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. Presently, she serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Ariel Investments LLC, President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Ariel Investment Trust, and as Director of JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Mr. Howard Schultz has been Chief Executive Officer and as a director of the company since April 2022. Prior to this he served as a Chairman Emeritus region of the Starbuck. Previously he held various roles at Starbucks including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer; Co-founder of the Schultz Family Foundation and EMES project LLC.

Ms. Rachel Ruggeri serves as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at the company since February 2021. Prior to this, she served as Senior Vice President of Americas at the company. She also served in various finance positions at the company including as Senior Vice President of Global Retail, Vice President of Finance for US Business, and as Vice President of Corporate Finance and Planning, US Business. She joined the company in 2001. Previously, she served in a variety of sectors including as an Accountant in a local municipality.

Mr. John Culver has been the Chief Operating Officer and Group President of North America of the company since July 2021. Prior to this, he served as the Group President of International Channel Development of the company between July 2018 and July 2021. Previously, he served as the Group President of Starbucks Global Retail between September 2016 and October 2017; as Group President of Asia Pacific, China, Emerging Brands, and Channel Development of the company between May 2013 and September 2016; and as President of Starbucks Coffee China and Asia Pacific between October 2011 to May 2013. Formerly, he held various positions including President of Starbucks Coffee International, Executive Vice President and President of Global Consumer Products, Foodservice, and Seattle’s Best Coffee, and President of Global Consumer Products and Foodservice.

Ms. Jill L. Walker serves as the Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Financial Services at the company. She joined the company in 2000 and held a number of accounting, finance, and financial reporting roles in corporate, retail, and supply chain functions. Previously, she served as Audit Manager at KPMG LLP.
