Sun Communities Inc: Executives

Mr. Charles D. Young has been the Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company since October 2025. Previously, he was the President of Invitation Homes Inc. Prior to this, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Invitation Homes. Prior to that, he worked at Starwood Waypoint Homes and Mesa Development.

Mr. Robert A. Garechana has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of the company since 2026. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of REIT Equity Residential. He was Equity Residential’s Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Company’s Executive and Investment committees from September 2018 to 2025. Prior to that, he served as Treasurer of EQR.

Mr. Marc Farrugia has been the Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Vice President of the company since June 2022. Previously, he served as the Senior Vice President of Culture and Innovation of the company.

Mr. Aaron Weiss has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of the company since 2026. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development of the company. Prior to this, Mr. Weiss served as Managing Director in Citigroup's Real Estate & Lodging Investment Banking Group.

Mr. Gary A Shiffman serves as the Chairman of the company. He has an experience of over 30 years in management, acquisition, rezoning, expansion, marketing, construction and development of MH communities.
