It generates, transmits, and delivers electricity through a range of sources including renewables such as solar, wind, and hydro; thermal fuels such as natural gas, LNG, coal, pet coke, diesel, and oil; and advanced battery storage systems. AES is organized into four technology-oriented business units: Renewables; Utilities; Energy Infrastructure; and New Energy Technologies (including Fluence, Maximo and other innovation efforts). The company operates under power purchase agreements, wholesale market sales, and regulated utility frameworks, selling electricity to utilities, industrial, commercial, governmental, and residential customers.
