Mr. Alan D. Schnitzer has been the Charmian of the company since August 2017, and is its Chief Executive Officer since 2015. Prior to this, he served as the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Business and International Insurance from July 2014 to December 2015. He also served as the Vice Chairman of Financial, Professional and International Insurance and Field Management and Chief Legal Officer from May 2012 to July 2014. Previously, he served as the Chief Legal Officer and Vice Chairman of the company since April 2007 and Executive Vice President of Financial, Professional and International Insurance since May 2008. Previously, he served as a Partner at Simpson Thacher. Mr. Schnitzer also serves as a Director of the Connecticut Council for Education Reform and Vice Chair of the Advisory Board for the University of Pennsylvania's Institute for Urban Research.

Mr. William H Heyman has been the Vice Chairman of the company since 2005. Previously, he served as the Chief Investment Officer of the company from May 2005 to August 2019. Prior to this, he served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Travelers from 2002 to 2005. He also served as the Chairman of Citigroup Investments. Previously, Mr. Heyman served as the Managing Director at Salomon Brothers.

Mr. Avrohom J. Kess has been the Chief Legal Officer and Vice Chairman of the company since December 2016. Prior to this, he served as a Partner, Head of the Public Company Advisory Practice and Member of the Corporate Department at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

Mr. Daniel S. Frey has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of the company since September 2018. Previously, he served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Personal Insurance segment and Chief Financial Officer for the Claim and Field Management organizations of the company. Prior to that, he worked as the Chief Financial Officer for Spalding Sports Worldwide.

Mr. Andy F. Bessette has been an Executive Vice President and the Chief Administrative Officer of the company since January 2002. Prior to this, he held various management positions with Travelers Property Casualty Corp., including, Vice President, Corporate Real Estate and Services.
