Vector Ltd (Vector) provides power and telecommunication services. It distributes electricity and gas in Auckland; stores and processes; and sells natural gas and LPG; and deploys electricity and gas meters to homes and businesses across the country. The company maintains and installs fiber optic cables; and offers cloud-based and Internet services. Vector owns fiber cable network in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Tauranga, Hamilton, Napier/Hasting, and New Plymouth. It serves gas-fuelled power stations, industrial, commercial, and domestic customers across the country. Vector operates its business through two segments: Electricity Distribution and Gas Distribution and Others. In FY2025, the company’s capital expenditure stood at NZD474 million, which was 43% of the company's total revenue and declined 2.8% YoY.

Overview
The Gas Trading segment stores and processes; and sells natural gas and LPG. Vector processes natural gas at Kapuni Gas Treatment Plant in South Taranaki. This plant processes raw gas from local fields and produces gas, propane, butane, natural gasoline, and carbon dioxide. Also, cogenerates solar energy with its customers. Vector serves gas-fuelled power stations; and industrial, commercial, and domestic gas customers across the North Island. In FY2025, the segment incurred a capital expenditure of NZD19 million, which declined 14.4 % YoY.
