CenterPoint Energy Inc (CenterPoint), an energy utility company which carries out electricity transmission, distribution, interstate natural gas distribution, field services and competitive natural gas sales and services. It offers these services to customers in various states in the US. CenterPoint operates through three reportable business segments: Electric, Natural Gas Distribution, and Corporate and other. Its major projects include Space City Solar Transmission Interconnection Project and Bailey to Jones Creek Project. As of December 2024, the company served approximately 2.8 million customers. In FY2024, the company’s capital expenditure stood at US$4,513 million, which was equivalent to 52.2% of its revenue and grew 2.5% YoY.

Operations include construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution facilities, and metering services, outage response services, and call center operations. It serves retail electric providers (REPs), who provide services to customers in Texas and electricity transmission service to transmission service customers in the ERCOT region through Bond Companies, which are special purpose entities solely for the purpose of purchasing and owning energy assets through securitization bonds Indiana Electric Operations include SIGECO’s electric transmission and distribution services, and include its power generating and wholesale power operations.
